Tata Nexon 2026: Variant-Wise Powertrain Options Explained

Tata has recently launched the Nexon 2026, which is currently very popular. This car has great features and is also much safer than other cars. As you know, this car has been launched with 1.2L Turbo-Petrol engine, 1.5L Diesel engine and 1.2L Turbo-CNG engine and it has different types of powertrains.

If you purchase the Smart variant, which is the base variant, you get petrol and CNG engine options. This variant comes with a 5-speed manual transmission with the petrol engine and a 6-speed manual transmission with the CNG engine. The Smart+ / Smart+ S variants are available with all three engine options. The petrol engine comes with a 5-speed Manual, 6-speed AMT, while the diesel and CNG engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission.

On choosing the Creative / Creative+ variant, the petrol engine comes with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT, 7-speed Dual-Clutch Automatic transmission. Apart from this, on choosing a diesel engine, you get a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT transmission, while the CNG engine is available only with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Fearless / Fearless+, which are its top variants, if you choose them, then the petrol engine will be available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Automatic transmission. Apart from this, its diesel engine is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automated manual transmission, whereas it also has a 6-speed manual transmission with CNG.

The car also offers excellent mileage. Its diesel engine with a 6-speed AMT delivers a mileage of approximately 24.08 kmpl. With a petrol engine, it will give mileage of around 17.18 kmpl and with CNG, it will give mileage of around 17.44 km/kg.
